Avocado recalls about 55,480 organic cotton mattress pad protectors for violating federal flammability regulations regarding cigarette ignition resistance. These pads may pose a fire hazard, but no injuries have been reported. The impacted mattress pad protectors were sold in Avocado stores or online between January 2019 and March 2024, including all sizes and styles.

If you suspect your mattress pad is part of the recall, check the label attached. If it includes the brand, date of manufacture, fiber content, and model number SFMPAVORG, it is part of the recall. Avocado will replace these pads with new ones that meet federal regulations for free. To claim your replacement, follow the steps outlined on Avocado’s website.
