It’s important to remember that this is pre-release code, and users may still run into issues with the software.
Once users have updated to iOS 16.4 or newer, they can enroll in the Apple Beta Software Program using the Safari web browser on their iPhone. After enrolling, they can install the iOS 17 test by visiting Settings, tapping General, tapping Software Update, and selecting the iOS 17 Public Beta option. The installation may take a few minutes to complete and will involve restarts.
The iOS 17 public beta includes many of the features announced at the WWDC 2023 keynote in June, such as a redesigned phone experience, a Messages app revamp, and improved autocorrection and voice dictation. However, some features, such as the Journal app and AirDrop transfers over the internet, will not be available until after iOS 17 arrives. It’s also possible that Apple will make minor interface tweaks and additions in later revisions.
